Synopsis

Thirteen-year-old Sigrid has a very unusual pen pal called Mr Q. She writes him letters about all the little worries and happy moments in her everyday life. Then, one day, a small girl turns up, saying she is Sigrid’s half-sister. She insists they must help “rescue” their grandmother from the retirement home. Sigrid is usually quite shy, but suddenly she finds herself caught up in a real adventure. Working together, the sisters manage to bring their grandmother home – and, even better, they help bring Sigrid’s parents back together.
