Synopsis

Wordylady lives in Southslope with her seven daughters. Anna and Berta, Cita and Dora, the twins Eve and Frida, and little Gerda do whatever crosses their minds. Their mother supports and teaches them as they discover the world, but isn’t in the habit of forbidding them from doing anything. Deep in the shady brush of Northslope lives Worrylady with her one and only daughter, Poppy. Poppy’s mother worries whenever her daughter stays out too late, goes to the seaside, or dresses too scantily. There are quite many things the young girl is forbidden from doing. However, one day, the inevitable takes place: Wordylady's rascally daughters and Worrylady’s cautious Poppy meet…
