Synopsis

Foxes are often depicted as cunning when it comes to fairy tales. There are twenty different stories in this book, often the Reynard is either competing or pairing up with a wolf and a bear in the forest or with a cat, a rooster, a ram and others in the village. The arrogant nature often leads the fox in tricky situations but thanks to her ingenuity she always manages to wiggle herself out of those. Just like in real life, the characters are ambivalent and layered, leaving the judgement open for interpretation.
