Pauline's Forest of Dreams
2022
Synopsis
A very poetic and beautifully illustrated book about environment and how children can be active and do something to take care of it. Eight year old Pauline loves the woods near her home. She crosses the forest to go to school on the far side of the hill every morning, and comes back the same way each afternoon. Her return trips allow a bit more time to explore, build forts, listen to birdsong, and watch the ants work. Paulina gets to know the forest and it learns all about her as well. Then one spring day, harvesters show up and the trees start falling one after another.
