Synopsis

Jack wants nothing more than to be a good boy. Yet the world is full of puzzling rules that never quite make sense. Why is it perfectly acceptable to watch squirrels from the safety of a window, but quite forbidden to bark at them and give chase in the park? And how could anyone expect him to ignore a delicious sausage lying so temptingly in a bush?

At last, weary of rules without reason, Jack decides to take matters into his own paws. He turns to books in search of answers—and, page by page, the world begins to unfold in a way he can finally understand.
