Synopsis

This is a story about every colour of the rainbow – and about something more.

A little boy has a brand-new bicycle that he is proud of, but at the playground the other children laugh at its colour. Is pink really just for girls and blue just for boys?

Back at nursery, the children and their teacher talk about the colourful world around them and draw all the things that are "different": a dark blue teddy bear, a cool grey remote-controlled car, a brown doll's pram, a girl's favourite green dress, and a boy's pink bicycle – complete with a blue saddle.
