Synopsis
Sven the daddy-long-legs is dozing under the shade of a milk-cap mushroom when the harsh noise of a chainsaw startles him awake. Driven by curiosity, he travels to the city in a truckful of logs and, despite the fatigue from the long journey, helps the farmer unload the fire-wood. It would be foolish just to stand idly by while the farmer only has two hands, Sven thinks. When exhaustion finally takes over, the daddy-long-legs decides to rest in the basement of the house. Little does he know that on the top floor of that house lives Mrs Prosaalie Hellström (Rose to firends), who hates spiders more than anything. Nor is he aware that the house was once home to his namesake, Mrs Hellström’s late husband, Sven Hellström, to whom she still talks to. It soon becomes clear that the two Svens have more in common than just a name — they both have a lovely baritone voice, a caring nature, helpfulness, and a good sense of humour.
